History

Hylink Digital Solutions was founded in 1996 by Su Tong, who evolved the company from traditional advertising--such as commercials for TV, newspapers and magazines--exclusively to full-service digital in 2004.[1]

In 2012, Hylink worked with AdMob, a mobile advertising company acquired by Google, to promote the London Olympics by reselling digital ad space to clients such as BMW and SAIC-GM on mobile.[2]

In 2013, Hylink introduced SAIC-GM to Taobao, China's largest online shopping mall. Together, they launched a Buick Regal campaign.[3]

In 2015, Tencent and Baidu, two of China's largest companies, invested in the planned initial public offering (IPO) of Hylink for 2.26 percent of equities in the company. Currently, Su owns 78.34 percent equities and some other stakes via the company's wholly owned subsidiary.[4]

In 2014, it established an office in Seoul, South Korea, and in 2016, it created a U.S. office in Los Angeles, California. In 2017, Hylink opened an office in London, U.K.

On top of geographical expansion, Hylink has also expanded its capabilities to better fulfill clients' needs in the digital realm. Currently, the agency provides internet ad marketing services, mobile marketing services, development and application of digital advertising distribution platforms, SEM cross-platform solution services, and distribution of digital media copyrights, production, and publishing of original video content among others.
